Replicates

What to send before we hold a date

A short note to info@replicates.blog is enough to start. We answer with a crew plan and a written estimate.

  1. What the pictures are for

Where they will run, and whether you need stills, a film, or both. Marseille has hard sun, a strong wind and the sea at the end of every street. We photograph and film food, soap, boats, fashion and the people of the port, from a studio on Rue Sainte.

  2. Place and dates

The room or the street, and the days you can hold. We leave from Rue Sainte 41 in Marseille.

  3. References

Three to six frames you like, and one you do not. Say what you like about them, in a sentence.

  4. Usage

The media, the territories and how long the pictures need to stay live. That sets the estimate more than the kit does.

What you get back

A crew plan and a written estimate
A short call first, then a visit to the room or the street at the hour we would shoot, so nothing on the day is a surprise.
A call sheet and a shot list
We plan the day around light and people, not around the kit. Every outdoor plan has an indoor fallback already agreed.
A contact sheet the same evening
One crew, one light plan. The still is the rehearsal for the film, so both come out of the same set-ups.
Masters, versions and an archive
Grade, retouch, edit and sound happen in our own room, against the same reference stills, then versions are cut for each place they run.

Send the note

References, a date and where the pictures will run. We reply with names and a figure.
